Young Life

Parishes in the Archdiocese of Portland have a tremendous opportunity to reach every teen with the Gospel. 

Through a shared passion for Christ, kids, and mission, our collaboration with Young Life has yielded a rising tide of cooperation that leads more teens toward a personal encounter with Christ.

Through this collaboration, Young Life staff. parish youth ministers and volunteers minister to Catholic teens in ways that respect and renew their Catholic faith in Jesus. 

Parishes are encouraged to equip Catholics to serve as Young Life staff & volunteer leaders to invigorate the faith of our young Catholics.

Archbishop Sample has endorsed a relationship with Young Life by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to build a bridge between the Catholic Church and Young Life.
