St. John Paul II has challenged us to a new evangelization in which the family becomes a sign of Christ in the world and a privileged place of His presence and action.
As the Catechism of the Catholic Church (1657) reminds us, the home “is therefore the first school of Christian life and a ‘school for human enrichment.’ Here one learns endurance and the joy of work, fraternal love, generous - even repeated - forgiveness, and above all divine worship in prayer and the offering of one’s life.”
The Archdiocese supports a cooperation between parishes and families that home school children.
